Tekeyan Armenian Cultural Association

The Tekeyan Cultural Association, headquartered in Watertown, MA, is a comprehensive cultural and educational organization dedicated to advancing Armenian literature, music, art, and heritage. Since its founding in 1947, TCA has developed into a multifaceted institution offering diverse programming and services to Armenian communities across North America. The organization operates three regional cultural centers—the Beshgeturian Center in Altadena, California, the Tekeyan Cultural Center of Montreal, and the Tekeyan Center in New Jersey—providing localized access to Armenian cultural resources. TCA organizes an extensive calendar of cultural events including lectures, exhibitions, symposia, concerts, and theatrical productions featuring groups such as the Mher Megerdchian Theatrical Group and the Azad Pem Theatrical Group. The organization publishes scholarly and literary works in Armenian and English, maintains important Armenian media publications including the Armenian Mirror-Spectator and Baikar newspapers, and produces the trilingual journal Abaka. Educational programs are a cornerstone of TCA's mission, with the organization providing scholarships to college and graduate students and operating the Sponsor a Teacher initiative supporting schools in Armenia and beyond.
