The Armenian Women's Welfare Association (AWWA) operates the Armenian Nursing Rehabilitation Center (ANRC), a 83-bed skilled nursing facility located in Jamaica Plain, MA, dedicated to providing compassionate, culturally competent care for Armenian elders and others in need. With over 110 years of service excellence, ANRC offers comprehensive medical care, rehabilitation services, and long-term support tailored to the unique needs of the Armenian community. The facility combines state-of-the-art healthcare with deep cultural understanding, ensuring every resident receives dignity, respect, and personalized attention regardless of income or background. Beyond Jamaica Plain, AWWA extends its reach globally through the Hanganak Elder Care Program, which currently serves over 300 beneficiaries across Armenia and the diaspora. This program conducts medical evaluations, delivers essential supplies, and provides targeted elder care assistance where resources are scarce. AWWA's commitment to elder welfare is rooted in its founding mission from 1915, when ten immigrant Armenian women established this nonprofit to support their community through crisis and opportunity. Today, AWWA combines direct care services in Jamaica Plain with strategic grant programs and humanitarian aid initiatives abroad, ensuring Armenian elders worldwide have access to safe, modern, and compassionate care.
