Armenian National Committee of Australia

The Armenian National Committee of Australia (ANC-AU) operates as the peak public affairs committee representing the Armenian-Australian community, with its national headquarters based in Willoughby, NSW. As a grassroots organization, ANC-AU actively advances the concerns and interests of Armenian-Australians across a broad spectrum of policy matters and community issues. The organization works strategically to influence and guide Australian Government policy on issues of importance to the Armenian-Australian community, ensuring their collective voice is heard at the highest levels of government. ANC-AU directly represents 36 affiliated Armenian-Australian organizations with a combined membership of 5,500 individuals, while serving the wider Armenian-Australian community estimated at approximately 50,000 people. Operating through a coordinated network of regional offices and chapters throughout Australia, including Northern Sydney, Western Sydney, and Melbourne, ANC-AU engages in comprehensive advocacy and community engagement. The organization maintains active campaigns addressing recognition of the Armenian Genocide, awareness of the Republic of Nagorno Karabakh, support for Armenians in Javakhk, and the sustainability and growth of the Armenian-Australian community. Through its professional network and collaborative partnerships with affiliated organizations around the world, ANC-AU serves as the essential liaison between the Armenian-Australian community and elected officials, representing their collective viewpoint on matters of public policy and advancing their shared interests at both state and federal levels.
