Armenian National Committee of America Western Region

The Armenian National Committee of America Western Region (ANCA-WR) is a grassroots public affairs organization dedicated to advancing advocacy initiatives and civic engagement for the Armenian American community across the Western United States. Based in Glendale, California, the ANCA-WR operates as a comprehensive advocacy platform serving Armenian Americans and their supporters through multiple strategic programs and initiatives.

The organization's core advocacy work spans voter registration and civic mobilization through its HyeVotes initiative, legislative education and federal advocacy, recognition and justice efforts related to the Armenian Genocide, and support for Armenian self-determination. ANCA-WR maintains an extensive network of 29 chapters across 19 western states, enabling localized community engagement while coordinating with national headquarters in Washington, DC and the Eastern Region based in Boston.

ANCA-WR's reach extends beyond traditional advocacy through partnerships with cultural, educational, athletic, charitable, and youth organizations throughout California and the western region. The organization maintains strong media connections, including relationships with leading Armenian media outlets and the nation's largest bilingual Armenian daily newspaper, Asbarez. This multi-faceted approach allows ANCA-WR to educate, motivate, and activate community members on issues affecting their local communities, the Republic of Armenia, and Armenian diaspora concerns globally. With international affiliates spanning Europe, Russia, South America, the Middle East, Australia, Armenia, and Artsakh, ANCA-WR operates as a robust force in advancing Armenian American interests within the United States political and civic landscape.
