Armenian Cultural Association of America, Inc.

The Armenian Cultural Association of America, Inc. (ACAA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Watertown, MA, dedicated to sponsoring and supporting cultural and educational initiatives that strengthen Armenian communities both domestically and internationally. Since its establishment in February 1969, the ACAA has developed comprehensive programming that addresses the intellectual, cultural, and social needs of people of Armenian origin.

The organization provides a wide range of services including grants to Armenian newspapers, publications, and media outlets; support for academic research on Armenian topics; internships for emerging professionals; and scholarships for students pursuing intellectual endeavors in Armenian culture and education. The ACAA maintains a significant repository of historic Armenian national documents and archives, serving as a crucial resource for researchers and historians. Additionally, the organization supports institutions such as homes for the aged, orphanages, and educational facilities that serve Armenian communities.

Through its endowment structure, established in 1992 and professionally managed according to fiduciary standards, the ACAA allocates resources to support student internships, document archiving, Armenian historical research, anti-defamation efforts, and project development for NGOs in both the United States and Armenia. The organization raises operational funds through annual Armenian Heritage Cruises and educational tours to Armenia. The ACAA also provides critical funding to the Hairenik Association, supporting its press activities, online radio station, and academic publications including the Armenian Review journal.
