About Armenian Community Centre of Cambridge
The Armenian Community Centre of Cambridge is a registered charitable organization serving the Cambridge, Ontario area and surrounding regions including Kitchener-Waterloo, Guelph, Wellington County, London, and Mississauga. As one of Canada's oldest Armenian community centres with over a century of continuous operation, the ACC provides comprehensive services designed to support Armenian families and all Ontarians. The organization offers Adult Education and ESL programs tailored to help newcomers and established residents develop language skills and professional competencies. Saturday School language classes preserve Armenian cultural heritage for younger generations, while youth groups foster community engagement and leadership development. Additional services include new immigrant support programs, cooking classes that celebrate Armenian culinary traditions, and art exhibits showcasing cultural expression. The ACC facility accommodates cultural events, sports tournaments, scouting gatherings, organizational meetings, and social and recreational activities. With a membership base representing over 3,000 Armenians across Southwestern Ontario, the Centre has established itself as a vital hub for community connection and cultural continuity. The organization's track record of accomplishment includes developing the current Community Centre complex, establishing the A.R.S Saturday School, founding Homemetmen Sports and Scouting programs, supporting St. Nishan Armenian Apostolic Church, and creating the Armenian Youth Council.
